    Condition:  Good condition.  Back of piece has a small dent.   Gold tone metal with a letter B monogram.  Worn on a belt by the lady of the house to carry her necessary items (keys, clock winder, etc.)

    I've purchased this piece over 40 years years ago.  I'm not even absolutely sure that it is a chatelaine holder but it looks like another that I have that I know is a chatelaine holder.  It has a ring on the bottom for attaching small chains and looks like it should slide on a thin belt to be worn around the waist.   I've placed an age on it that would be compatible with a time when women wore chatelaines.
