ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ENGLISH SILVER GILT BOXED SCENT BOTTLE c1883 SAMPSON MORDAN
A fabulous quality antique English sterling silver gilt scent bottle; finely made by Sampson Mordan, with engraved and textured construction, a hinged lid and complete with the original glass stopper. Housed in original fitted retail box.
Such a lovely example...so collectible!
CONDITION
: All original and very, very good. Minimal wear, small amount of loss to gilding on the base, hinge ever so slightly strained - neglible but easily improved if desired.
DATE/MARKS
: Registration mark for 1882, Hallmarked for London 1883. Maker's marks SM &Co.
DIMENSIONS
: 54 mm long 18m diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
