    Cashmere/Fine Wool blend Men's/Ladies' scarf. Scarves are approximately 74 inches long by 12 inches wide with 4 inches of twisted fringe on both ends.

    Designed by former Strathmore Woolen Mills manager Arthur Mackie and subsequently adopted for use by the Pipe Band of the US Air Force Reserve Command, at Robins Air Force Base in Macon, Georgia, USA.  Originally called the "Lady Jane of St. Cirus", the design was presented to the USAFR Pipe Band members who liked it and adopted it for wear as their Kilt's tartan in the 1988-1990 time frame.   It should be noted that this tartan has no formal recognition by the Department of the Air Force but it has been widely accepted through use by U.S. Air Force service members and their families as a representative design.  This tartan is registered in the archives of the Scottish Tartan Authority.
